More Football Saturdays

The last two weeks we have watched football by ourselves. A nice relaxing Saturday...Josh gets up and runs 14 miles, I sleep in. Then we watch football all day. We may get a little yard work in (half-times only), or laundry, or run an errand or two. But mostly we just relax.

Can you tell Renae's hair is growing really fast? Just in the last couple weeks I think it's started growing like the wind. :) Oh...and Renae likes to tell us many important things now. Check it out:

Also note: we only have Husker apparrel for 18mo and bigger now so she's tall enough for this outfit but not near fat enough, so ignore her clothes that don't fit. Josh really wanted her to wear it on game day :)

R*E*N*A*E

R: Rarely grumpy- she has always been the most content baby. Even when she's hungry, tired, needs a new diaper, even with a fever, even while teething. Renae is so laid back and takes on life in as relaxed a mood as possible.

E: Energized- Renae is on the go! She stays up for a significant portion of the day (which until recently was most definitely NOT the case). One of her favorite games is for me to leave her in one room, go in another and talk to her...she crawls around till she finds me then smiles and smiles and smiles. :)

N: Napping- I know this goes against what I just wrote, but Renae is still a BIG sleeper. Two 2-3 hour naps a day and sleeping all night long. She loves her blanket, she burys her face in it when she's tired.

A: ADORABLE! I'm sure there are people of opposing opinions out there, after all, it is my child so I'm most certain I'm biased. BUT, I'm still convinced Renae is one of the cutest babies I've ever seen.

E: Everyone's friend: She is crossing the threshold into the land of friendliness! Once her face was covered in solemn. Now she smiles at strangers, giggles at them, flaps her arms around crazily when people talk to her...she loves it. But only when Mommy (or Daddy) is holding her. (or completely gone- like when she's in the nursery at church)

We can't believe it's been 9 months already!!

New Tricks!

So at Renae's 9 month check up, here were the stats:
Weight: 18 1/2 lbs.......50th percentile
Height 29 inches.........90th percentile
Head size: don't remember the number but 95th percentile. !! :)

Hopefully you can see it in the video, but Renae likes to make a new noise with her lips. It's so cute. Shannon and I managed to catch it on video the other day so we can share it with you. Renae does this ALL THE TIME when she eats.

Saturdays

Well, for the next couple months, our Saturdays will include friends, football, and food. My 3 favorite f's! :)

Last Saturday Frank (f!) and his girlfriend Beth came over to watch some games. Frank and Josh work together. We had a great time getting to know them. Unfortunately we forgot (f!) to take a picture...but here are some of the other 2 f's.

Yikes!

Once again, sorry it's taken me so long. Here it is in writing: I mean it when I say I promise that I will be a better blogger from here on! I promise to stop starting blogs with an apology! :)

LAST weekend I got to go on a girls weekend to Charleston, SC with ladies from our small group at church. It was an awesome time to get to know some great girls!! :) We stayed at this AMAZING hotel. Here's my pic, but you can also check out the professionals HERE: www.millshouse.com

Here's Shannon, me, Cassie and Jessica (who BOTH have twins, 4 yrs old, and 2 yrs old).

And Katie, Audrey, and Leigh Ann.

All of these ladies grew up together, went to school together, or married someone who grew up with the rest of them...except me and Leigh Ann...so we got a very entertaining earful of stories that some of us are thankful that no one who knew us way-back-when is around to tell. ha ha. :) It was great! It's funny that even though Atlanta is HUGE, its still like Nebraska in ways that most kids end up growing up, going to college, and coming home. It's great to be a part of such a great group of friends who are like family. They are so welcoming!

Renae and Josh had a tremendous weekend together, who's surprised! They had a great time and Josh is a pro. I'm so thankful for him that he wants me to get some time away. Even though I miss them like crazy! :)
