We're Back

We're back from Kansas City--we had such a great weekend with friends! This was our 5th annual Memorial Day shindig (I'm pretty sure it was the 5th!) and we've expanded our guest list to include 3 babies now!

Josh and I got there on Thursday night. Todd made record time driving to the airport and the fun began. Our friend Will changed our entire weekend by introducing Josh and I to the Iphone Scrabble application during our Penske drive to Georgia. Within hours Todd had downloaded the app and we started our 1st of about 60 Scrabble games. Friday night the Thomas's arrived in town. The twins really enjoyed playing in a new house. It took Toby awhile to warm up to them. I'm not actually sure he ever did, but what dog gets used to being stepped on and having his hair pulled by toddlers that never stop chasing you. Olivia tried really hard to sit up all by herself, she almost has it down, if only there weren't so many entertaining people to watch! Saturday we played lots of games and enjoyed each other's company and Ryan's famous grilling. The boys played in the sprinklers for awhile and had a great time. We played washers, ladders, wiffle ball home run derby, had a water balloon toss, and an egg race! The rest of the weekend was filled with more good food, NCAA football, lots of great conversation, Cranium, Monopoly, and the constant Scrabble game. Josh and I left late Monday night, we were sooo tired! But it was a great trip. Here's some pictures!

I haven't forgotten about pictures of the inside of our house, I'm just working on things like curtains and hanging stuff on the wall. :)

We're Here!

We made it! Two days and 14+ in a rental truck paid off! We are here and nearly moved in. We averaged 58 miles per hour. So that was good, we thought initially that it would be MUCH lower than that because Missouri is so hilly that it took us forever to get the first 150 miles out of the way.

The camera cord is packed away still, but I will put up pictures soon!

Did You Know?!

My 'little' brothers both graduated from the University of Nebraska on Saturday! CONGRATULATIONS!!! We are very proud of them.

Here's a pic of when Martha and I were in college and the boys took a break from high school to help us with a Campus Crusade outreach. Just a little flash back to before they were in college. I'll try to get cap and gown pictures up sometime.

Probably after our move, because we leave in 36 hours. :) !!!!!!!!

Man I'm getting old.

WHEW!

So I have another lapse in blogging communication. That is due to our unexpected trip BACK to Michigan just 8 days after we left. Josh's godfather passed away and we were able to go back for the funeral. It was a really good trip. We got to support some great family friends of Josh's, and we got to see family again for another 4 days. The weekend was a whirlwind, of course. But it was very different than the packing and cleaning we had planned here in Missouri. Martha, Ryan, Josh and I also got to go hear Condoleeza Rice speak to the Economics Club of Southwest Michigan. Yeah, random huh. It was really good. We enjoyed it a lot. Of course we had great twin time also. Highlights: (if you'll allow me to be cheesy) singing Garrett to sleep. It only took about 80 versions of "If you're happy and you know it". If you didn't know it, music is a very serious business to him. He loves it. And, Ethan's hugs. Basically he has the same love language as me. We both like to hang out holding on to someone we love! And we took the twins to the park which was super fun, they had a blast! I'll put up some pictures soon!

So now, we have 2 days to pack and clean, then a three day trip, then one more day to pack, load, clean, and clear FLW.

I can't believe we will live in a new state next week. That is so crazy!
