April is done already!? It went so quickly! We have been very busy. Good friends of ours had their first baby on tax day, Noah had minor surgery that went very well, and of course there is never a dull day for Josh being Aide de Camp. A couple weekends ago he got the chance to tour a nuclear submarine! We helped a friend move, have done some significant yard work to our own house and another, and lots of trips to the potty with our newly diaper free boy--JACK!!!! Josh works at least 14 hours a day and usually has events a few nights/weekends a month, so the kids and I are grateful for being keeping busy. It's been a hard month, too. We are looking ahead to the summer and trying to figure out what we're going to do with ourselves when all scheduled programming ceases. Days can get very long with no plans. And the kids will do well in the house for two days in a row, but at the end we are all on each others nerves. Ha! So we will be looking forward to the Savannah Children's Museum, the soft play areas at the mall, reading time at the library, hopefully a summer Bible study, time at the park, our new water table toy and outdoor toys.
We also have a lot to look forward to in May! The pool opens May 1st, Josh's Mom is coming to visit over Mother's Day weekend, our 7 year anniversary is the 13th!!!, our friend Amber is getting married the next weekend in Nebraska (Josh, Noah, and I are going to make the quick trip!), then we have some Atlanta friends coming to visit for Memorial Day, round that up with the beginning so summer birthday fest....Grandpa Schweitz on the 28th then Jack turns 2 (!!) June 2nd!
This picture is my attempt to keep the kids occupied while I sorted out small and winter clothes to put back into boxes.
Hope you are excited for May Day- and we are sending warm weather prayers to those of you who have yet to see spring really arrive!
