Another Catch-up :)

Well, here I am again having let a month pass and no blog.  Sheesh.  I can explain myself, I can!  We'll just go down the line.

Josh:  Well, as he nears the end of his Aide-de-Camp position, the big boss is set on making every non-sleeping hour (and even some of those) a working hour.  BUT, the end is in sight!  We are to the 'I-think-I-can' 'I-think-I-can' stage of the game.  We have a pretty good idea of what his next position will be, but we will leave you hanging on that one because I'm sure we've talked about this before, until you have orders (or really until it actually happens), anything can change.  But I can say for almost certain (it better be certain at this stage of the game!) that we are not moving.  :)  Josh has enjoyed his Aide position, there are of course not-so-nice parts/days, but on the whole (excusing the hours) he has enjoyed it.  He has met and worked with some really great people, had opportunities that he never would have had otherwise, and been introduced to some great PT!

Me: Well, if you've seen facebook at all, you have seen the news that 5 is going to be 6 in January!  We are really excited (no it wasn't a surprise) and are hoping this pregnancy goes just as smoothly as the other 3.  Baby is due January 27th which is my Grandpa's birthday, so that's fun!  Noah and B4 will be 15 months apart.  And when B4 is born we will have missed having a 3-year-old, a 2-year-old, a 1-year-old, and a 0 by 5 weeks because Renae will have just turned 4!  That sounds crazy.  hahaha!  So my excuse for lack of blogging is tacked on Josh having 15+ hour days, and me fighting the battle of keeping my eyes open during this first trimester.  I don't quite remember it being this difficult before! It has seemed a bit extra taxing since I literally slept every second the kids were sleeping, so the entire time the kids were awake, I was awake.  No quiet house during nap time or after 8 for 'Mommy' time...which makes days without breaks....tiring. :)  But, energy is just around the corner!  And so is a regular work day which means Josh home for supper and bath time and bed time!

Renae:  Renae is SO helpful!  She loves to help me do anything and everything I am doing.  She is learning some hilarious words that she sometimes misuses.  She is great at giving directions--not in a bossy way (well, there's plenty of that), but if Jack needs help doing something she will give him step by step help on how to accomplish whatever it is.  Complete with encouragement and praise at the end.  The other day she was getting into her car seat and couldn't get the harness to close the right way.  What she meant to exclaim was "Are you serious!?" (which comes from me reacting badly to a couple of giant messes lately--oops.) but what came out was "This is serious!!!" and I couldn't stop laughing.  There are very very few things that Renae can't do for herself.  We are now really learning the "you still need to ask permission first" part of having the independent ability to do things.  But the love of repetition that 3 year olds have comes in very handy with Noah.  She will do the same thing to make him laugh over and over and over and over, tirelessly.  :)

Jack: There is very little that Jack says that is not understandable, and that small percentage that I can't interpret Renae knows without a doubt.  It's hilarious.  Those two don't know how to play separately.  Jack has to be everywhere she is.  He loves to laugh, run, wear his spiderman slippers around the house, go swimming, play with his matchbox cars and trains, and at church they say all he wants to do is read books. :)  He plays with Noah a little bit, he will crawl around and Noah will chase him.  He likes to talk to Noah in the car and feed him puffs at meals.  He's been out of diapers except while sleeping for a few months now and he is really funny cause for days and days he'll be great, then he'll decide that he just doesn't care for a day or two and then go back to having it down.  Oh boys...

Noah:  He is big.  His is to that fun phase of exploring, crawling all over, eating lots of new foods, and discovering his voice.  Ok so the last part isn't so fun.  Because for some reason, every child gets obsessed with the screech owl noise...possibly flying dinosaur.  YIKES.  But he sleeps wonderfully, eats wonderfully, and is so much fun.  At his 9 month appointment he was 29 inches tall (which all 3 kids were the same height at this age!), and 22 pounds 11 ounces which is far and away heavier than Jack or Renae. My friend Crystal took this gem, which is hilarious because of his expression and his cheeks.  :)
