Halloween!

This year was a new experience for us at Halloween! Our church hosts an event called Trunk N Treat...basically a safe place for trick or treating! The small groups in our church sponsored a Trunk (car-SUV trunk, truck bed, trailer..etc), decorated it, and then dressed in theme to hand out candy to kids that would come. WE HAD THOUSANDS...yes thousands of kids. There was a 45 minute-wait line from 5 until 8 pm. WOW! Our small group, is not small. :) There are A LOT of us. So we decided to do something equally 'small'. Most of us have small children so we decided we'd pick something they would really love, which ended up being Toy Story 3. A very talented guy in our small group paints murals on the side, and is a phenomenal artist! He painted gigantic Toy Story characters, the aliens, Rex, Mr. Potato Head, the Piggy....and we set up his flatbed trailer to look like a large cardboard box packed for Sunnyside. And we all dressed up as Toy Story characters. Josh was Malibu Ken, I was Mrs. Potato Head, and Renae was an alien. Other costumes included Slinky Dog, army men, Barbie, Buzz, Woody, Jessie, some Lego People, AND...Scooby Doo, Shaggy, Thelma, and Daffney joined us! :) We had a great great great time. Unfortunatly, we didn't take any pictures all together, or of the whole scene, or as a family. Sorry, we'll try harder next year! :) Here's some pictures!
