Memory Lane...
Hey everyone! Josh here. Just wanted to share with you a piece of my childhood (1980's) memories...Milli Vanilli. I used to watch this stuff ALL THE TIME when I was a kid. I sing this song occasionally around Erin; she really had no clue who or what I was talking about, so I had to fill her in. Thanks to YouTube, history is recaptured!!
Check out the insane dance moves, the dreads, and the shoulder pads. Someone needs to bring this stuff back in style...Awesome!
Note from Erin:
Hilarious. Wish you could hear his running commentary (read: enthusiasm and admiration) while we watched this. Phrases like, "oh there's your brother in a phone booth", and "big finish", and "let's watch this part again"....ahhh awesome.

Lately
(Side note: That weird thing that happens sometimes is happening...I can't for the life of me get these pictures to load the right direction! Sorry!)

Sorry I haven't blogged a lot lately- I've been waiting for some big news...news that would be blog worthy. But, I'm still waiting.

So instead I will just tell you about life lately. Last Friday we went putt putt golfing with our friends Patrick and Leslie. I was terrible. I'm talking terrible. But in my defense, I was wearing a baby the first 9 holes. Patrick and Leslie both had never mini golfed before. Isn't that sad!? They are both originally from California, so lets chalk that up as just one more reason I don't want to live there. We had a great time. OH, and Patrick and Josh tied to win it. Patrick was awesome= never played MINI golf before. Leslie was pretty good= also had never played before, and I was terrible= have played several times, including the time in college I fell into the pond trying to hit the ball on #18. It was bad. And then we went to Ruby Tuesday's for supper. Renae was awesome until the last 10 minutes. She was really hungry and she wouldn't eat in the restaurant because it was too noisy and distracting, so her and I enjoyed her quiet meal in the car in the parking lot. ha ha.

Sunday we had our small group which is always really fun. I love how no matter where you live, and how many times you have to start all over meeting new people, God always comes through. We really enjoy our small group- lots of couples a variety of ages, and lots of kids a variety of ages. :) I made enchilada casserole that was celiac friendly because one of the mom's in our study is celiac. :) AND it was delicious. I was pretty proud of myself. Although if I was making it for us it would have been ALOT spicier. And beanier. But that's just me.
And today, Renae and I went over to Elizabeth's house (another mom in our small group) and had lunch. It was delicious. AND SHE MADE PIE. Seriously, pie for lunch. Talk about heaven :)
Renae is sooooo close to rolling over, I'll bet she figures it out this week. She gets to the top where all she needs is a puff of air to topple her over, and she gets really stuck. ha ha. She's grunting and trying super hard, and then just rolls back. She'll get it. Another new thing she does it strains to sit up. She reaches with her neck when coming out of her car seat and when she's awake in her crib...it's pretty cute. She's ready to learn new tricks!

4 months already!
Well, we are back from Michigan. Our trip went waaay too quickly. Now we have to hurry up and wait for the next vacation.
Martha did a great job of posting a lot of pictures you can look at them HERE. Also, she posted a super cute video of Sydney and Renae hanging out and you can see that one HERE.
Here are some other pictures you might enjoy...all from the day we left (we look surprisingly happy).

Today Renae is not happy. You might think, but she's 4 months old today--who wouldn't be happy about that! She only got two shots at the doctors today and it wasn't bad, but the after-effects are in full swing now. When she's awake she's crying....so Tylenol and extra long naps are our best friends today. ha ha.
Here's the fun stats:
Weight: 12 lbs 4 oz
Height: 24 inches
And here's a wonderful 4 mo picture:

she is so cute.

Fun in the MICH!
Josh and Renae and I have had a very busy first week in the MICH! We arrived on Thursday, a little later than expected, but we got here without a hitch! We took a two day trip to Ohio for Josh's Grandpa's funeral, we were glad to have been up here to be able to go. It was good to see family and Renae got to meet everyone! So far we have taken over 350 pictures, eaten nearly 4 dozen cookies, seen a lot of friends, seen even more family, eaten about 4 dozen oreo/cake balls, done 1 puzzle, eaten 2 pans of brownies-polished off with a 5 qt tub of ice cream....ummm yeah. We might have been going a little crazy with both pictures and desserts. So how bout we share some pics:
