The New Job! :)

So I have deliberately put off posting this because I wanted to wait till it ACTUALLY happened. Which if you've been around the Army at all, is a necessity. But Josh has finally transferred to Fort Stewart (about 45 min away) to a new unit. He now works in the headquarters for 3rd Infantry Division. :) "Rock of the Marne!" To which you all would respond "Top of the Rock!" :) For the most part nearly all 3ID is deploying between Aug and Dec which is going to make this area a bit of a ghost town. Josh is staying back in the rear detachment (keeping everything going back at the ranch so to speak). Let's just say that because he'll be the only MP Officer in the group that remains that he'll be filling lots of shoes, with his primary duties being usually assigned to a Lt. Colonel. Yup, 2 ranks higher than him. So far he feels like he's getting a decent grasp on what's expected. This has been a little challenging as he has about 3 weeks before the majority of soldiers leave, and less time with his 'boss'. But we feel blessed that he can have this position as it keeps him here for B3 being born. So yay! Our old position is done and behind us, and here is a new and exciting challenge before. And of course things always change, but we should stay with this unit until Summer 2014 so we'll stay in GA for awhile! If we are here till then that will mark 5 years in this state!! WOW!! (More than likely we will move a little closer to the base after B3 is born, to cut down on Josh's commute, but we don't really know when that will be). :)
