UPdate.

A LOT (understatement) has happened since I last filled you in. First of all, Josh is a Company Commander again! Here's some pictures! If you've forgotten all the details of what this is, click HERE for the blog from the last change of command!

Adding all of that extra text makes this blog rather long! :) In baby news, I'll be at 29 weeks this Sunday. Some of you may be thinking, I thought you were that far last week...well, due to the constant changes of my due date, I have thought I've been at 29 weeks for two weeks already, only to find out once again that I'm not even there yet. BOO. But, more importantly Baby B and I are both healthy and now that my Drs have decided to agree on a due date, there shouldn't be any more changes. So my new due date is June 19th. It was June 10th, then an argument ensued debating June 13th and June 19th. And June 19th won. So here we are! :) Josh got to go with me to my appointment this week (perk of Company Command...1% of his day is free instead of NONE). We really like our delivering Dr. (Wish we could say the same of the high risk guy but that's neither here nor there). I'm having both Drs' appointments every 2 weeks now. And have to see the cardiologist again. Not to mention that we are moving within 1 month of the due date, so we're packing, and garage sale-ing, and LOTS more! I'll leave you with my new favorite picture of Renae--we can thank Aunt Martha for the cute piggies! :)

SHE WALKS!

I don't have any video of it yet, but Renae is walking! Hopefully this weekend we'll have some time to capture the moment! And for my own record keeping I must put in print that her first steps were on 11 March 2011. :)

Renae had taken a few steps between Josh and I followed quickly by a lunge to whomevers outstretched hands. But last night, Shannon coached her in to walking several feet by herself, which quickly turned into walking a few steps, stopping, changing directions, and walking some more! And the best part is that as soon as Josh got home from work she quickly showed him just exactly what she had learned to do. YEAH!

SPRING!

Why we love the South! :)

In the the last 2 weeks since Valentine's Day many of you have requested updates from us. I will now tell you why we have been so distracted. The 'coldest' it has been in the last 14 days is 64 degrees. With the highest being 74. :) We have been doing a lot of yard work, taking a lot of walks, going to the park, and playing outside. (Josh already got a slight sun burn once, and I have a farmers tan) WHOO HOO!

Here's pictures on our yard work progress. Since I wasn't thinking I didn't take before pictures so I'm going to have to dig out ones from when we moved in last June.

Our front door landscaping with overgrown bushes, out of control monkey grass, and a poorly placed drain pipe that floods have the of plants out. ha ha



And since we have a corner lot, we have this little island of wildlife providing shade on the corner.



I should mention that since the owners were trying to sell the house and it was empty for 2 years prior to us renting it, that they did absolutely no upkeep yard work during that period, and probably much before that. Ask me how that helps you sell a house, I don't know. But anyhoo, after many many many hours, this is what we've done to clean it all up. And I should not forget to mention that without our friend Jeremy this would have taken us an extremely long time.

DURINGS:
First we pruned all the crepe (sometimes is crape...who knows) myrtle trees/bushes. WOW...

Then to the front where we mowed down the monkey grass, and then dug it out to the line where it's supposed to stop growing (oh yes, it was more than 2 feet past this line in some places...turns out grass takes a lot of digging to remove)

Mostly removed, have to fill holes with dirt...


AND- we discovered these little gems among the grass....yup- Daffodils. LOTS of them. In the last 3 days they have grown SOOO much, probably cause they aren't getting choked anymore.

And yes, there used to be a swing here, and yes, it was me who broke it. Gotta love the feeling of sitting on something only to have it to come crashing down out of the wood anchor in the ceiling. That really boosts the pregnancy ego. And we learned that Josh's heart is in top notch shape because he didn't have a heart attack when he ran around the house to find me laying with my head in the back corner of the porch while my feet were straight up in the air. I am completely fine, only two very faint bruises, and you can ask Marth for details as to how it sounded because I was on the phone with her at the time. ha ha!
