Problems Problems Problems

If I'm lucky, this blog will post. I've had TONS of things I've wanted to update you on in this last month, but I have run into TONS of problems with blogspot. Photos won't load, blogs won't publish, it has been a long standing issue and very frustrating!

Don't worry though, the day I get all this to work, I will be posting LOTS of blogs. ;)

We're Here!

We made it to Savannah and have been here just short of a week. We're getting used to the crazy humidity (who am I kidding, no we're not), and slowly getting settled in. House pictures should be available in the near future! We only have about a dozen boxes left to unpack, so progress is being made!

Lets see if I can get some moving pictures for you:
YESSSSSSSSSSS! Here is Renae out playing in the daily late afternoon downpour. :)

Our cute boy!!

What Renae's hair does here in Savannah. INDOORS. That's how you know it's humid. And really really cute.

Downtown Savannah on the river walk!! :)

Holo!

Pictures are still not working. I might put them on facebook if I get time during Renae's nap today because I know I can get that to work.

I know that I write about the same things...2 weeks till we move. Jack was 3 weeks old yesterday. Renae is talking up a storm but the majority of the words she's saying are mommy, no, ummmm, and various Chinese words.

Zombie-mommy phase is not ending yet. Jack still sleeps and eats well, he's sleeping a little longer at a time, but he's still noisy. I'm thinking we're going to move him to our closet tonight or tomorrow. As soon as I pack some of the stuff in there to make room.

We are surprisingly very ahead of the game on our packing. Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but we really don't have a whole lot left to do. The biggest things will be selling the Pontiac and our washer and dryer. Hopefully Craigslist comes through. We aren't posting them till July so we don't have TOO much laundry to pack. (We are getting our minivan next Wednesday!!! WHOO HOO!! Then the Pontiac is for sale-want to buy it?)

Usually this close to a move Josh doesn't have much work to do, is home 1/2 days and we're packing and cleaning and running around doing all that crazy stuff that pops up last minute. BUT, nope, Josh's last day of work is July 7th. YES, we leave here the morning of the 9th. Gotta love new adventures!

I'll keep trying with the pictures!

More updating:

I've been trying to upload pictures for the last two nights and it won't work. So I'll give you the text version and do photo blogs later :)

--Josh grew his facial hair out during his paternity leave. From June 1st to June 12th. Pretty fabulous. And of course he shaved it off in phases so we've got some great pictures coming your way.

--Renae has been busy becoming a happier big sister. The smiles are back and so it the dancing. Her molars are coming in but she hasn't been as unpleasant as she was the first few days of Jack being here. I've got a couple great videos of the two of them I can't wait to share with you.

--We are 3 weeks from moving...our house is in various stages of disaster/dismantling. Good thing we had some surprise visitors today who are looking to rent the house when we move out. Sure, walk through our mess and see if you want to live here. Our lawn hasn't been mowed in 2 1/2 weeks, there are 3 not-yet-folded loads of laundry in various places throughout the house. 2 rooms are crammed with boxes, and the flat surfaces we have left are covered in to do notes, utility transfer paperwork, bills, army misc forms/orders. Not to mention the multiple diaper changing stations around the house. Oh, and we probably have 2 dishwasher loads of dishes in the sink. Pretty sure they will not agree to live here. We did not paint a pretty picture. Oops. Maybe tomorrow we'll get our act together.

All that aside, we're moving things along, getting more and more accomplished that we need to each day. Already getting ready for the move to be a little closer so I can put things away and not worry that I'll need them again!

Also: we have discovered Jack's flaw. He is a noisy baby. Not LOUD, he just makes noises ALL the time. Can't really hear them in daily chaos, but at night...he sighs (alot), breathes audibly (Martha would NOT be happy sleeping in the same room as him ha ha ha), grunts ALOT, snorts every once and awhile, and hums while he eats. The nurses during his circumcision were teasing him about his humming...asking him if he was enjoying his steak dinner. ha ha.

Hopefully the pictures will work soon!

All sorts of Check Ups

Yesterday Jack had his circumcision done (he was pretty sad, but has been doing a great job through the night and during diaper changes).

Today was Renae's 18 month check up and Jack's 2 week check up.

The stats:
Jack:
Weight: 7 lbs 2 oz. Yes he gained almost a pound in one week (technically since last Thursday so 6 days?!)

Renae:
Weight: 25 lbs 2 oz 60th percentile
Height: 33 inches 80th percentile
Head size: 65th percentile
----side note, her head is basically the exact same size as when we first moved here last summer. Glad she's finally grown into it!

And Then There Were 4

1 week old already!

At his one week appt Jack is back at his birth weight and stretched out to his actual 20 inch length. He gets an A+ for being healthy!

Things have been going really well! We are getting sleep, getting lots accomplished, and enjoying Jack very much! We got back from the hospital on Saturday afternoon, while we were gone Martha watched both girls, (I used 'watched' loosely, they went to the park, shopping several times, to the hospital to visit several times and to bring us food)made a lot of banana bread for me, made cookies, a special dessert for Josh, insanely yummy shredded beef sandwiches, and before she left on Tuesday she had made more cookies, helped me do about 6 loads of laundry, took the girls swimming, and to the park two more times. Marth has way more energy than I ever will. :) It was so great having her here! Besides being helpful, I'm hoping she got to have some enjoyable Jack time, too. It was so special for me to be there when the twins were born, hopefully I got to return the favor! :)
